The Blog for "Progressive Politics: Tennessee Style" Radio Show!
Here, we will provide guest bios on upcoming and past guests and their particularly progressive politics. We will provide post-show wraps, including any of your questions we were not able to answer live on the show. Our goal for this show, and for this website, is to provide a place, and a voice for activists, activities and activism in the American South today. We know that there are many imperative activities going on just below the Mason-Dixon line, but it would seem that a larger portion of our fellow citizenry is unaware of the work we are doing, how we are doing it, or under what conditions that work is done. In fact, they often holler at us about it, and tell us that it is OUR fault when a particular national strategy (or vote count) goes against the progressive/liberal/democratic plan. We choose to prove them wrong not with our words, but with our actions.
We hope you will tune in each Sunday afternoon at 2:30 PM (Central Time) for our show. You can call in our listener line, chat with our host(s), guest(s) and other listeners from across the South (all Northern sound waves will be filtered out for clarity, simplicity, and just ’cause, dammit! After all, we DO realize where we are. But, if you are of the Northern flavor, and still get our signals, we promise not to report you. (Unless, of course, our Director takes exception to your display of manners on-air). Beware the Ban Hammer.
Our episodes are archived for your future listening pleasure. Almost every show is replayed over at Netroots Radio Network every Tuesday night, beginning at 11:00 PM (Central Time) with live chat during the replay.
So tune in to the Blog, and to our weekly radio show and see, learn, grow and share “Progressive Politics: Tennessee Style” (PPTS). You can call in to our listener line at (347) 426-3348 about 10 minutes prior to air time to secure your spot if you wish to talk with our host, or our guests live.
